FAVORITES

I became a Jonas Brothers’ Fan in the Year… 2007

Favorite Jonas Brothers album is… Self-Titled (will always hold a special place in my heart!)

Favorite Jonas Brothers song is… I can't pick one! Top Five? Inseparable, Take a Breath, Strangers, When You Look Me in the Eyes, and Shelf

Favorite Jonas Brothers is… Favourite of the 3? I always have and always will have a soft spot for Nick Jonas! He's my favourite.

To me, being a fan means everything to me! It means being part of a community of people who love and support the same people you do. It means coming together and just being so happy to be a part of something so insanely fun and magical and nostalgic and happy. It gives me so much serotonin and joy and happiness - being a fan is such a huge part of my identity and my childhood and adolescence and who I am today. that I know is yet to come.

MEMORIES / FLASHBACKS

  • I definitely remember watching their earliest music videos on the Family Channel (Canadian version of the Disney Channel, basically) - like Poor Unfortunate Souls, SOS, Year 3000. I remember my mom coming home with their self-titled album for us when it came out. I also remember being on the family desktop computer and just googling everything I could about them and then to my surprise, I found out that Nick was a Type One Diabetic like me, after watching him at that event where he announced he was a diabetic for the first time. That just elevated my love for them, and for Nick especially, of course. It was the first time I ever could comprehend that someone I already looked up to could have a clue about what it felt like to deal with the chaos of living with diabetes just like I did.

  • Honestly, I would have to say their comeback Happiness Begins tour was the highlight for me. It was the first time I was able to see them as a like functioning adult, you know what I mean? All of the concerts I had been to prior, I needed a ride there from my dad because I couldn't drive at the time, I was way too young and way too broke to see them in concert several times in one tour, but for this tour, my sister and I just decided to go ALL out. We saw them 5 times in 2019 - in Toronto, Detroit, Grand Rapids, back to Toronto in the fall, and then took a terrible, very long overnight bus ride from Toronto to Montreal where we squeezed a couple hours of sleep in at our hotel and then rushed to the venue to get in line for pit. It just felt like we were finally living out our fangirl dreams together! We met so many amazing people and had such a fun time. We sat floor, pit, and B stage for every show too which was the BEST. We had never, ever had seats like that before! I also splurged and bought meet and greet in Grand Rapids which was an incredible experience. I had met them back in 2010 prior to that after I won a Twitter contest and got free meet and greets, but I was 13 years old and so dorky and awkward, I wanted to redeem myself at the Happiness Begins tour, so I did!

  • I've seen them 8 times in concert + NJ&TA once too!

  • I was in grade 11 at the time and I honestly think I blacked it out in my mind. I remember being excited because I was pretty sure they were going to be releasing more tour dates soon for the second part of their Live Tour in 2013, but then that was scrapped which was a huge bummer, but I never ever would've expected them to completely break up. It was heartbreaking to say the least. I recall seeing the news on Twitter while I was in the school cafeteria I'm pretty sure and I'm pretty sure my friends probably made fun of me and my absolute devastation!

  • I remember being at my first "big girl" job and trying to hard to remain professional. I worked at a front desk but everything was like blowing up on my phone. I was so excited. I felt like I was 13 years old again. Little did I know, I would end up following them on their soon to be announced tour and meeting them again all in the same year! What a whirlwind. I would do anything to go back to 2019!

  • Definitely the earlier tours, like the Hannah Montana Tour or the Burnin' Up Tour or the WYLMITE tour? Iconic. If you were at either of those tours, I am so jealous of you. I remember seeing the 3D movie and being so envious of everyone who got to experience that tour live! The foam cannons? Preteen Carlie would've done anything to have been super soaked with a foam cannon by a Jonas Brother.

THE TOUR & THE NEW ERA…

Dream Jonas Brothers tour collaboration (who would you have as their opening acts?):

Ooooo great question - how absolutely iconic would it be for them to collab with like Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus again??? I'm a nostalgia sucker - we should just like have a Disney Channel tour and we could have the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato all on stage together again. Or a boyband nostalgia tour. Let's get 1D back together and they can go on tour with the Jonas Brothers, 5SOS can open, maybe we bring back Honor Society for shits and giggles too. Let's do it!

What things are you excited about for this “new era”?:

I'm excited to hear this elevated sound from them with the influence of Jon Bellion! I love how Joe described it as being the album that if they were to send it off to some aliens, this would be THE album that would best represent and describe their sound to someone who's never heard their music before. Their vocals have only improved over the years - Nick and Joe sound absolutely flawless these days and every song I've heard from the new album is just so fun and catchy, I cannot wait for them to announce a tour. I haven't been able to see them since Happiness Begins, so I'm desperate for the serotonin!

If you had the opportunity to build THE SETLIST for THE TOUR what would it be like?

The most difficult question!

  1. Wings

  2. Rollercoaster

  3. Strangers

  4. Don't Throw It Away

  5. Sail Away

  6. Little Bird

  7. Hesitate

  8. Vacation Eyes

  9. WYLMITE

  10. Inseparable

  11. Take a Breath

  12. Montana Sky

  13. Miracle

  14. Shelf

  15. Can't Have You

  16. Summer Baby

  17. Summer in the Hamptons

  18. Much Better

  19. Don't Speak

  20. Used To Be

  21. I Believe

  22. Americana

  23. Celebrate!

  24. Hold On

  25. Only Hunan

  26. Hollywood

  27. Walls

  28. Encore: Waffle House

Honestly, I'd be happy with anything though since we will be getting a mix of Five Albums for the tour!

If you can have the Jonas Brothers create any BRAND / COMPANY, what would it be of? Throw us the pitch/vision of what they will be selling!

Oh man, I think they've already come up with enough brands on their own personal time. LOL!

I can't think of anything cool or unique that they haven't already done!

MESSAGE TO THE JONAS BROTHERS…

How has the Jonas Brothers TRULY impacted your life?

They've impacted my life in so many ways. They're basically a part of my identity and who I am as a person. My friends, family, acquaintances know me as the girl who loves the Jonas Brothers! They've shaped me into the person I am today. Their music has always brought me so much comfort and happiness. When I get the opportunity to see them live, I feel like I'm HOME. I don't know how else to explain it.

Anything you would like to say to the Jonas Brothers if they ever saw this fan spotlight?:

Thank you for being such a core part of my life. The feeling of nostalgia and happiness I get whenever I listen to any of your music means more than I could ever express in words! I grew up with you guys, I've gone through childhood, my formative years, and now that you guys are back together for good and are continuing to put out new music and work on so many amazing things together, it's like a part of me has healed from it! Everything just feels right again in the world. Thank you for everything you do and have done for us, the fans. You guys are my home and I'm so excited to see you again on tour soon enough!
